Fall is here

It's amazing to me, here in the NW, that the seasons just arrive.  No working up to it, just BAM, here's fall!  It surprises me everytime. I find myself telling D, "we like the rain" and "get your boots on, it's raining" as easily as I tell her to brush her teeth or pick up her things.  I like the NW. No matter how much I scheme and plot to move away, it is here I feel home.  Lately I have been really motivated to get our house in the place we want.  This will involve immense purging, adjustment and patience, but I know we will be happier.  The outside is almost winterproofed...time to move indoors for the NW winter, that no doubt will arrive quickly and suddenly....like a gift.
